Two Writing Classes have been added to our 2017 Schedule. April 17-18, April 19-20 in Port Arthur, Texas. See Class Intro Note for more details.
New Feature at the API Website: Inspectors can now print their API certs directly from the API Portal! API will still send you an original cert. But ... you can now print lots of them ... give one to you Mom, to your Mother-in-Law (she still doesn't believe how smart you are!), and cover your office wall with your certs! You can also print the wallet cards. API continues to improve their service!
We are exciting about Keith & Sue Devall joining the MSTS family. Keith is currently providing API 570 classes. In 2016 he will also offer the API 510 and Inspection Basics classes. Keith lives in Louisiana and normally provides classes in the Baton Rouge area. Keith has 20 years experience in Operations and 15 year of Inspection experience in various roles working for Shell Chemical. Keith has a heart for those who are trying to succeed in the inspection discipline. He considers it a ministry opportunity to help them be successful. Keith and his wife Sue love the Lord and love the people He created. When he is not teaching, Keith enjoys riding bicycles and eating whatever Sue cooks (it’s all good!!) To enroll in one of his classes, please contact him. (See our Contacts page)
Materials for Sale - Are you taking an API exam (510/570/653)? If so, you might find some of our class materials useful. To see the pricing for all materials select the STORE page. To order materials, give us a call at (918) 531-2441.
Preprinted Tabs ($25) - A set of tabs for your codes! The 2 most common problems with tabs are: they are hard to read and the Code is "porcipined" (way too many tabs!) Unimportant tabs hide the tabs that are really important on your exam! Our tabs solve both of these problems. Important key pages are easy to find with this tabbing system. Non-MSTS students can purchase a set of Tabs for $25. Each set contains about 65 tabs. Tabbing instructions are included. ALL MSTS STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE A SET AT CLASS. Code Notes ($50) - Sometimes the codes do not display important information in the easiest to understand format. For example, the hydrotest formula in ASME Sect VIII is written as a sentence, and not as a formula! Now that's not very user friendly! So you need to write the hydrotest formula in the Code. Our Code Notes show you what should be written in the codes and where it should be written! Non-MSTS students can purchase a set of Code Notes for $50. Other Materials - We certainly recommend attending an API training class prior to the exam! But if you can't, you might find our other materials useful. These include: Class Manual, Homework, Study Guides, & Practice Exam.
